Euronics network member Michael R Peters enjoys faster transaction speeds after switching to Worldpay

One such entity in Bedford is Michael R Peters, a founder member of Euronics, with two shops carrying an extensive range of televisions and home cinema equipment, cookers, washing machines and all domestic appliances – plus it has its own service department with fully qualified engineers.
All products are expertly installed, and the business also specialises in single- and multi-room entertainment systems and offers custom installations.
As managing director of Michael R Peters, Paul Mead is responsible for everything to do with the business including, as he cheerily notes, “cleaning the windows!”
According to Paul, their customers are primarily from the local area and are looking for a one-stop shop that offers sales and installations. “Our shoppers typically like to look at and touch the products in person, accompanied by unbiased and expert advice – which we’ve been reliably offering since 1966.”
Euronics-Worldpay relationship leads to payments processor change
Paul says his business changed from their previous payments processor and started working with Worldpay in Q4 of 2024 for face-to-face, point-of-sale payments processing after the Euronics buying group-Worldpay relationship was initiated.
“As a small business, we’re always looking out for ways to reduce our costs, get paid faster, improve the speed of transactions and be able to speak with an actual person on the end of the phone if we encounter an issue,” explains Paul.
“With Worldpay, we now get paid the next day – at the same time – and much quicker than before,” he continues. “The savings that we have realised with Worldpay are superb, and the few times we have had questions they were answered straight away and the issues were resolved via what I’d describe as good, old-fashioned service.”
Commenting about his Worldpay setup process, Paul says, “It was fantastic – it really could not have been any simpler or smoother. It was literally a ‘plug-and-play’ exercise.”
